Henna evening

A henna evening is a traditional event that often takes place before a wedding. You as the bride are central. During this evening your hands and feet will be beautifully decorated with henna, which makes you realize that you will soon really be a bride. It is a festive occasion where friends and family come together to dance, sing and eat good food. In addition to the bride, other women can also have their hands decorated with henna. That is also part of a special occasion to honor the bride and celebrate the fact that she is getting married soon.
If you are interested in booking me as a henna artist for your bridal henna/guest henna, please contact me. We will see if your desired date is available and discuss your wishes.

Precaution

When using henna, there are some precautions you can take to ensure you have a successful experience:
Prepare your skin. Make sure your hands and feet are clean and dry before applying the henna. Remove any oils, lotions or dirt from the skin as this can hinder the henna from adhering.

Aftercare

Care for the henna after removal: After removing the henna, avoid contact with water for at least 24 hours to allow the color to develop. Also apply a thin layer of oil or lotion to the skin to maintain color and keep skin hydrated.

Important!

Applying full bridal henna takes me about 4 hours. Make sure there is no disruption. By this I mean: don't take group photos while applying henna, for example. Try to move as little as possible. A quiet environment is therefore desirable to deliver the best results. And don't forget: Let the henna dry thoroughly. After I apply the henna, let it dry completely before covering or moving it. Being patient and giving the henna time to dry will ensure better results.

Henna paste

Henna paste consists of a number of main ingredients. The main ingredients are:
1. Henna powder: This is the main ingredient of henna paste. It is obtained from the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis).
2. Liquid: To make the henna powder into a paste, a liquid is added to it. In my case I use water.
3. Sugar: Sugar is added to the henna paste to improve the consistency and help the paste adhere better to the skin. It also helps to keep the paste moist for longer, so that the dyes can be absorbed better.
4. Essential oils: in my case eucalyptus oil, is added to the henna paste.
